Probiotech International welcomes Dr. Laura Franco as Scientific and Technical Coordinator

Probiotech International is pleased to welcome Dr. Laura Franco, Ph.D., as its new Scientific and Technical Coordinator. With a strong background in animal science, microbiology, and biotechnology, Laura brings valuable scientific expertise that will support Probiotech’s commitment to developing innovative and practical solutions for animal health and nutrition.

Laura holds a Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences from the Université de Montréal, where her research focused on early-life microbiota manipulation in poultry, probiotic development, and vaccinology.

Throughout her career, she has led applied research projects and field trials in animal production through a One Health approach, connecting animal, human, and environmental health. Her experience includes the development of novel probiotics for poultry, molecular surveillance studies of animal and human pathogens, as well as the development of standard operating procedures and diagnostic tools designed to support health-focused decision-making.

A key strength Laura brings to Probiotech is her ability to connect scientific research with real-world applications. She is passionate about translating complex scientific findings into clear and practical recommendations that can support clinicians, producers, and other industry professionals in their day-to-day decision-making.

As Scientific and Technical Coordinator, Laura will contribute to Probiotech’s scientific and technical initiatives, supporting the transfer of knowledge between research, product development, and field applications. Her expertise will also help strengthen the company’s ongoing efforts to develop next-generation solutions that respond to the evolving needs of animal production and animal health professionals.
